In the latest news story to make us wonder "Does true love exist?," Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have split after four years of marriage.

"This is not the future we envisioned," reps for the country darlings told Us Weekly in a joint statement. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter." No further reason for the split was named.

The Voice star and his Platinum wife met in 2005 while Shelton was still married to first wife Kaynette Gern. The two began dating in 2006; Shelton proposed to Lambert in 2010. The country power couple were married on May 14, 2011.

Fans knew Shelton and Lambert not only to be insanely in love, but also frequent collaborators. The centerpiece of their collaborative work would undoubtedly have to be "Over You," the heartbreaking Miranda ballad that the couple wrote together about Shelton losing his older brother in a car accident. The Top 40 hit won Song of the Year at both the 2012 Country Music Award and the Academy of Country Music Awards.
