Pitbull is known to have some pretty wild ideas and most of them have to do with his success. When you're as popular as the guy, and you're accustomed to huge parties at huge venues, what's next? Apparently not space. He told Rolling Stone:
"I don't know how much partying I'm going to do on Mars, to be honest with you. Shit, what do they have on Mars? Nothing. It's gonna be hard to take me away from Miami—this is already another planet for me. We got water, we got oxygen, we're good."
Can't hate on that water and oxygen.
See, even Fox wants in on the Pitbull action! The singer hosted the network's New Year's Eve party last December in Miami and things got steamy. If you haven't seen clips, we'll let the MC's intro statement speak for itself:
"The world needs to get ready to un-mute New Year's Eve. We are taking the party from the Big Apple to the Pineapple. New Year's Eve is officially in Miami and hosted by yours truly, Mr. Worldwide. P.S. Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but whatever happens in Miami never happened!"
And not just any vodka, my friends: When Pitbull gets ready for a show, it's all about his personal branded liquor, Voli. Don't get it twisted.
This is the Pitbull story to end all Pitbull stories. In a promotion with Walmart and Sheets Energy Strips, the rapper agreed to visit whatever store got the most "likes" on Facebook. The internet launched an #ExilePitbull campaign in an attempt to send him to to the furthest destination, which just so happened to be Kodiak, Alaska. It worked, he went, he was nothing but gracious. The man knows how to own a seemingly unfortunate situation, that's for sure.
Only Pitbull could set the internet abuzz and steal the spotlight from Jennifer Lopez with a pair of pants. While performing at the World Cup, Mr. Worldwide showed love to the host city with a Brazil-themed, bright yellow polo shirt that he tucked into his rolled up, tight white pants.
He later addressed the pants during an appearance on The Tonight Show with huge laughs and a smile.
Did you know that Pitbull spent $15 million on opening the Sports Leadership and Management Academy, a public charter school dedicated to using sports to teach disenfranchised youth the importance of education? He explained his dedication to kids' education in a Hollywood Reporter cover story, saying, "There is no way that you can tackle any obstacle or any issue around the world if you are not educated. That's why I fight for it."
As for his own kids, Pit has one rule: "Pitbull is Pitbull; Poppy is Poppy. I teach them that they will never live in my shadow. That they're going to be bigger, better, stronger."
