Pretty scary news on the One Direction front this morning. Apparently a fan has threatened to kill de facto frontman Harry Styles at the group's upcoming East Rutherford, NJ gig on August 5. Fans immediately found the post, alerted Twitter and had the user removed from the popular social media platform. It now appears that another account has been launched, promising similar threats.

Directioners, not a fandom to go out without a fight, launched the protective #HarryBeCareful hashtag to educate others while simultaneously vocalizing their concern for the British singer.

The hashtag has since become the number one trend worldwide and fans continue to flock to it.

Stay tuned to for the latest on this story. In the meantime, catch up on Styles' ongoing feud with SeaWorld, read about the group's recently launched charity, Action1D and peep the group's best Instagram pics from last year.
