Born in the Caribbean Islands, Xristina is a proud Dominican who has known since the age of four that she is transgender. A turning point came for Xristina as a teen when her mother did her makeup for Halloween and told Xristina that she looked beautiful.
While Xristina radiates resiliency and confidence, she considers her vulnerability to be her real strength and "humanity" to be her true label. A long-time advocate for the transgender community, Xristina is a member of the first-ever transgender choir known as "Transcendence Gospel Choir" and dreams of becoming a Hollywood star.
Nya has been one of AsiaSF’s hottest performers since she began working at the club at the age of 19. Now, having realized her dream of becoming an AsiaSF manager, Nya is faced with the reality of managing the different – and very strong - personalities at the club. Nya considers her fellow dancers to be her family and keeping peace amongst the group as is challenging as it is important to her.
Even with her busy schedule at AsiaSF, Nya is actually really shy, and on her days off she values her "alone" time to unwind. Her interests include cooking and fashion. She’s also a fan of sci-fi and fantasy television programs such as Vampire Diaries and Game of Thrones.
LA is the youngest of the group and was just beginning her transition when Transcendent premiered. Still looking for guidance from her friends as she explores her physical transition, LA has come into her own with both a new love and newfound confidence. Determined to make a home for herself at AsiaSF, LA enjoys exploring the city and spending time with friends and family.
Strong and fearless, Bionka has known that she is transgender since she was a young child. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles and Anaheim, Bionka was exposed to racism and bigotry, and understands the challenges she faces as both a transgender woman and an African-American. Bionka has worked hard to overcome a childhood filled with bullying and now helps others through her work with City of Refuge, an organization that helps transgender people of color.
Bionka is trained in modern dance and recently recorded her first ever single, "Lift Mah Shirt.” She aspires to work in film and on Broadway, and would someday love to be a professional stylist. She was also recently named Miss Gay United States 2016.
Bambiana is an outrageous flirt and born to be in the spotlight. Coming from a very supportive family, Bambiana has known since she was seven years old that she is transgender, and her mother secretly raised Bambiana as a girl in the privacy of their own home. A hopeless romantic, Bambiana is afraid she won’t find love and thus approaches the dating scene cautiously. She is a vegan and a strong supporter of animal rights. She's also a successful hairstylist who hopes to graduate from being a part-time performer and hostess to a full-fledged "Lady of AsiaSF."
