Children of Bodom (July 10)

"Morrigan" is a new cut from I Worship Chaos, Children of Bodom's upcoming ninth album. Produced by Hypocrisy mastermind Peter Tägtgren, I Worship Chaos will be the band's first record since guitarist Roope Latvala left the band back in May. Frontman Alexi Laiho handled all guitar duties on the record, which will destroy retail outlets on October 2.

Lamb of God (July 10)

Lamb of God will be releasing their eighth studio album, VII: Sturm Und Drang, on July 24. To give you a taste of the audio annihilation ahead, the band have premiered a song called "Erase This" that is sure to please fans of the Virginia thrashers.

Pentagram (July 13)

Doom metal stalwarts Pentagram have released "Walk Alone," a track off their forthcoming Curious Volume album. Arriving in stores on August 28, the album sessions were overseen by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Travis Wyrick. Pentagram's founding member, Bobby Liebling, was the subject of Last Days Here, a gripping 2011 documentary about the singer's recovery after struggling with drug addiction for most of his life.

Dave Lombardo (July 13)

Over the weekend, drum dynamo Dave Lombardo (PHILM, Slayer, Testament) premiered his debut photo art collection, Rhythm Mysterium, to a packed crowd at Forgotten Saints in Hollywood, California. Lombardo held a symposium where he explained the process behind the creation of his "rhythm-on-canvas" pieces. Following a Q&A session with the crowd, the influential rhythm master got behind the drums for a solo performance, using glow-in-the-dark sticks during its climax. Bring Me the Horizon (July 14)

According to a report from Substream magazineBring Me the Horizon's next album will get a release on Columbia Records in the States. The U.K. outfit had previously been signed to indie Epitaph Records in America. Earlier this month, Bring Me the Horizon released a new track called "Happy Song." Columbia has not revealed its release plans for the album yet.
