Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp & Tons More Made a Hollywood Vampires Album
Alice Cooper created a little thing called the Hollywood Vampires in a Sunset Strip bar in 1972. It was a costume/booze/hang/maybe a little music thing, one that featured walkthroughs from John Lennon, Keith Moon, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix, among a slew of others. But now the Hollywood Vampires are a band, and the lineup is basically as starry.
The group's self-titled debut album is coming Sept. 11 and features Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp on every song, plus a host of other musicians: Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Aerosmith's Joe Perry, and narration from recently deceased British actor Christopher Lee (who, yeah, played Dracula).
