Mariah Carey's latest single "Infinity" got a regal premiere when it was unveiled as the 19th track on the diva's recently released #1 to Infinity greatest hits package, which included all 18 of No. 1s to date. Now, the single gets even more special with a newly surfaced remix that enlists Justin Bieber, T.I. and French Montana.
It's titled "Why U Mad (Infinity Remix)," and the original regal strings and twinkling synths have been adorned with trap-influenced snare drums and fuzzy electronic embellishments. French kicks things off with a cocky verse before Mariah handles a reworked version of the chorus, singing "Close the door, lose the key! / Leave my heart on the mat for me" with the same gusto of the original. Bieber quickly croons ahead of T.I.'s cameo before Mimi wraps things up by asking the listener (which almost certainly is ex-hubby Nick Cannon), "Why you mad, baby, tell me you're mad?"
It's a lot packed into four minutes, but the quick pace gives the song an exciting velocity missing from the original cut. Take a listen below:
