There's a little over a month left until 5 Seconds of Summer drop their highly-anticipated sophomore LP Sounds Good Feels Good and the wait is excruciating. The Aussie guys are clearly feeling it too (no pun intended), dropping new tunes like "Jet Black Heart" and b-sides "Lost In Reality" and "Broken Pieces" all in the span of a week.

Last night, fans at the band's second New York City show at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater got to witness "Jet Black Heart" live for the very first time ever. In a word, it was awesome.

The song begins with a somber verse by guitarist Michael Clifford, one that carries the tune: His voice is considerably deeper than frontman Luke Hemmings, and it makes for a dramatic build. It feels familiar to the fan favorite, non-album song "Wrapped Around Your Finger." Live, it's probably their most emotive performance to date...there's a certain youthful immediacy they've become pros at channeling.
