It's happening! It's finally happening! N.E.R.D. are making a new album!

Or, at least, N.E.R.D. will make a new album at some undetermined time in the future, if all goes according to plan. In a Q&A via iHeartRadio's Twitter on Tuesday, Pharrell confirmed that he is indeed interested in doing another record with his band with Chad Hugo and Shae Haley:

Now, remember that this can mean many things. Yes, Pharrell certainly intends to make a new N.E.R.D. record; it was known that solo success had not drawn him away from the group when the band debuted three new songs as part of the SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water film earlier this year. Does his excitement at the prospect—that caps lock!—mean it's being worked on at this second and will happen sometime very soon?  Not necessarily.

For now, be aware. When the album does come, it'll be N.E.R.D.'s first disc together since 2010's Nothing.
