Legendary producer Rick Rubin will be honored by the Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing during a GRAMMY Week event, Fuse can exclusively reveal. The event will take place at The Village studios in L.A. on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016.

"Rick Rubin has said he has one rule regarding his recording process, 'The only rule is that it's not done until it's great,'" says Neil Portnow, president/CEO of the Recording Academy, in a press statement. "His contributions to music and to the artists he's worked with prove that Rick is beyond simply great. He is remarkable. We look forward to celebrating this musical icon and his pioneering career, which continues to inspire and climb to new heights."

Rubin will be toasted for his "commitment to creative and sonic excellence and ongoing support for the art and craft of recorded music," per a press release. The GRAMMY Week ceremony will precede the 58th annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 16, 2016.

Rubin has won eight overall GRAMMYs, including producer of the year (non-classical) in 2006 and 2008, respectively. The 52-year-old has recently produced for Kanye WestJustin Bieber and Ed Sheeran.
