In a sprawling new interview for GQ, President Barack Obama sits down with Bill Simmons to discuss his first seven years in office, basketball, raising teenagers and Game of Thrones, among other things.

When Simmons asks Obama his “guiltiest-pleasure TV show,” the president responds, “Probably the guiltiest pleasure—and this is kind of lame—is Big Break. You know, on the Golf Channel? Which is kind of a silly show. [laughs] But I find it really relaxing.”

However, he soon admits, “I do love Game of Thrones.” When asked which character he identifies with, Obama says, “My favorite character is probably…the dwarf, what’s his name? … The problem with Game of Thrones, though, is that I don’t remember the names of any of the characters.”

Come on, Mr. President! It’s Tyrion Lannister! I guess the leader of the free world can be forgiven for not knowing the name of a lynchpin character on the most popular show on television, but seriously, dude, read a recap in between daily debriefings!

Oh wait: Obama does read GoT recaps, or at least might read them. “I remember the characters, so when I watch it, I know exactly what’s going on," he says. "But if you read a review of the show afterwards and they’re mentioning such and such, the only one I remember is Jon Snow, because I can pronounce Jon Snow.”
