Your moment is nigh, Foo Fighters fanatics who've been dabbling in ABC's new fall series The Muppets. On Dec. 1, Dave Grohl will guest star as himself. While he appeared in the 2011 Muppets reboot movie drumming as the faux-Animal in a faux-Muppets band, this time he'll engage Animal in a face-to-face drum-off. Will Grohl's leg still be injured? Gotta be able to bang that bass drum if you're gonna beat the most feral of Muppets, yeah?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will also guest star on the same night. The episode's called "Going, Going Gonzo," which Entertainment Weekly guesses will mark "the first time the new Muppets revival will see the Great Gonzo, Gonzo’s high-flying, daredevil alter ego."

The Muppets, which airs its eighth episode Tuesday night, has already featured guest appearances from Reese Witherspoon, PentatonixImagine Dragons, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Groban, Laurence Fishburne and Jay Leno.
