Stars Wars is jumping on the K-pop bandwagon.

The upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens film has enlisted Korean megagroup EXO for a collaboration to hype the new movie's release. After teasing a potential partnership on Facebook, it was announced that the group will release a new single called "Lightsaber" (of course) and that the band will create a "collaboration film" with the franchise, which hopefully will include a music video and new Star Wars clips.

It also won't be the first partnership between EXO's record label SM Entertainment and Disney, the new home of the Star Wars franchise. This means we may see some of EXO's labelmates like Girls' Generationf(x) and SHINee (which just happen to be some of Fuse's favorite K-pop groups) take part in some awesome collaborations.

No word on when "Lightsaber" drops, but with the Star Wars tie-in and EXO's huge international popularity (the boy band currently holds America's record for the biggest first week sales for a K-pop album), this is probably going to be huge. Episode VII will be released in Korea on December 17 and in America on the 18th, so expect "Lightsaber" before then.
