Good news for Lil Wayne: his elbow surgery was successful! Fun news for the rest of us: he listened to his own music during the surgery!

The hip hop star gave thanks on Wednesday (Nov. 18) for a successful surgery at the University of Miami, and shared that his doctor was bumping Weezy tracks as it happened. No word on why Wayne needed surgery, or which songs were played during the surgery; let’s guess that the answers to those questions are “skateboarding” and “Dr. Carter.”

Something else Lil Wayne fans have to be thankful for: No Ceilings 2, the sequel to one of his most beloved mixtapes, is arriving next week. There’s also a 2 Chainz collaborative project in the works called ColliGrove.
