Kurt Cobain is gone but, as 2015 has clearly shown us, not in any way even close to being forgotten. Coming Nov. 13 is Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings, which will boast 13-track and 31-track versions.

After hearing "Sappy," we've got a chance to peer into Kurt's bedroom with today's demo of "Been a Son," from the band's 1989 EP Blew.

The brief "Been a Son" take is as intimate as intimate gets; you can basically see the Nirvana frontman's fingers working the strings as he flips between singing with quiet confidence and murmuring placeholder notes. At the end, he adds the bass line for a second.
