Adele’s '25' Aiming at 1 Million Copies Sold in Second Week
Ready for some more Adele chart history? After 25 scored the biggest single-week U.S. album sales ever, Billboard is reporting that the full-length will likely own the biggest second-week sales ever, with potentially 1 million more copies sold.
As of Thursday (Dec. 3), Adele’s third album had sold 840,000 copies in its second week, per Nielsen Music — thanks, Black Friday! — and if it passes 1 million sold in its second week, 25 would be the first album to do so in the Nielsen era, which began in 1991. We’ll know the final second-week numbers on Sunday (Dec. 6).
