In their respective worlds, Troye Sivan and BTS both had huge years. The Australian YouTuber-turned-pop-singer released his debut full length, Blue Neighbourhood, and embarked on his first international tour, while the K-pop boy band dropped two EPs and hit the U.S. for two live runs. It's fitting that the outfit shared a cover of one of Sivan's standout singles to end their 2015.

BTS members Rap Monster and Jungkook uploaded a piano-led cover of Blue Neighbourhood single "Fools" that is not only remarkable for the fact that it's recorded entirely in English, but that we get to hear Rap Monster's lovely singing voice alongside one of the band's lead vocalists.

But this pairing is more important than a pretty cover. Both Sivan and BTS have been unapologetic in bringing important social conversations to the mainstream. From Sivan's advocacy of LGBTQ youth and being a confident gay voice to pop, to BTS publicly tackling issues of mental health and gay rights (rights which don't really exist in their native South Korea), the acts have not only connected with fans with their music, but their perspectives.

We're looking forward to seeing what 2016 brings for these acts and, hey, in a world where anyone can connect with anyone...is it too wild of us to hope for a collaboration someday?
