Chance The Rapper, who reps Chicago as hard as any artist from the Windy City, had a lot of problems with Spike Lee’s latest joint. The MC slammed Chi-Raq, a satire of Chicago that went wide on Friday (Dec. 4), for being “exploitative and problematic” in its depiction of the city’s gang violence epidemic.

“Let me be the one from Chicago to personally tell you we not supporting this film out here,” the rapper began on Twitter. A string of tweets helped explained his grievances with the film, which revolves around the girlfriend of a gang leader abstaining from sex until the city’s murder rate dips.
