Sound the alarm--Iggy Azalea is plotting a very busy 2016. The Australian pop-rap star has shared the title of the lead single to her sophomore album, and hinted at some other "cool stuff" coming for fans next month.
In a Twitter Q&A on Saturday (Dec. 26), Azalea revealed that her next single will be titled "Team." "[M]eaning: ive got my own back, i iam my own team. 20% meaningful 70% bop 10% ratchet," the "Fancy" star wrote of the song.
She clarified that the single won't be arriving in January, but has a consolation prize for fans:
@IggsBae NO lead in jan - but content, buzz songs, viral videos and other cool stuff in Jan. :-)— IGGY AZALEA (@IGGYAZALEA) December 26, 2015
Also, the follow-up to The New Classic, which spawned the hits "Fancy" and "Black Widow," could be arriving two years (to the date) after her debut:
@HausOfIggz what if we keep it tradish and roll with april like last time. im considering it. albumversary ?— IGGY AZALEA (@IGGYAZALEA) December 26, 2015
After a tremendous 2014, Azalea has been largely quiet this year: She lost the best new artist award at the 2015 GRAMMYs and scrapped an arena tour, but did score a Top 40 hit with Britney Spears, "Pretty Girls." The video for that song also won Fuse's annual Top 40 poll this month!
