Earlier this month, Melanie Martinez hinted to Fuse that she was up to something to celebrate the upcoming Christmas holiday and now we get an early Christmas Eve present.

Take a listen to "Gingerbread Man" above, a new that combines the same offbeat-pop sound heard throughout her Cry Baby album, but now with a delicious new metaphor for fans to sink their teeth into. As the creepy-cutesy cover art (seen above) suggests, this isn't your usual kind of Christmas carol with trap beats, ominous groans and empowering lyrics like, "I need a gingerbread man, the one I'll feed / The gingerbread man, the one I'll eat / One who's always crazy, never calls me baby" on the chorus.

We dig the atypical take on the usual Xmas song so consider this one of a late entry into 2015's best holiday songs.
