"I believe in shaving before the workout. Because that's how I do it, and I don't really need a reason." — Barack Obama
Jerry Seinfeld brought out some comedic heavyweights this year for his incredible web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee – including new Late Show host Stephen Colbert and Seinfeld pal Julia Louis-Dreyfus. But none of them were funnier than the show's first non-professional funny-person guest, Barack Obama.
Throughout the 20-minute segment, available to stream at Crackle, Seinfeld asks the president about the pressing issues facing the White House: the thermostat situation, how his suits are arranged ("I have a closet, like normal people") and how far he can wander in his underwear (which Obama says is "generally not cool" to do in any capacity).
Most episodes find Seinfeld and a fellow comic cruising to a coffee shop in a fancy whip. In this case, the host isn't allowed to take the Commander-in-Chief off the premises in his 1963 Corvette Stingray Split Window Coupe, so the duo sip some java at the White House. Seinfeld plays interviewer for most of their conversation, as the leader of the free world discusses his nacho-eating style ("I'll have guacamole coming out of my eyeballs")," the amount of underwear colors he prefers (one) and his most embarrassing moment in office ("This may be it").
The best moment could be Obama discussing Larry David's annoying sunscreen habits during their golf outings. "He lathers himself in [it]," he says. "It's caked white all over. It catches parts of his ears, and then there's big globs of it."
