The Weeknd’s been building something with his last three videos, a visual world that’s as nocturnal and trippy as the world he shows us on the newly GRAMMY-nominated Beauty Behind the Madness. Now “In the Night” will follow “The Hills,” “Can’t Feel My Face” and “Tell Your Friends,” continuing the Weeknd’s adventure through a world of explosions, creepy characters and murder.

There’s not much we can glean from the trailer for “In the Night,” one of the most Michael Jackson–y and narrative-oriented songs on the album. Basically: A woman will shoot a slow-motion bullet through some glass. (Not exactly an easy time to get fired up about guns, but okay.) Idolator thinks it’s Abel’s girlfriend, model Bella Hadid.

“In the Night” comes from director BRTHR, who’s helmed clips for Iggy AzaleaAngel HazeCharli XCX and Jessie Ware.

The video will drop sometime on Tuesday, Dec. 8, according to the Weeknd’s Twitter. He also shared a grindhouse-ready poster:
