It’s gonna take us a while to process exactly how great a year 2015 was for rap. We got landmark albums/mixtapes from Kendrick LamarFutureDrakeErykah BaduA$AP RockyTravi$ ScottAngel HazeMeek Mill and so, sooo many more. Crazy-hot breakouts from Fetty Wap, Dej Loaf, Tink, Vince Staples. Undeniable work from Heems, Le1f, Chance the Rapper, Nyemiah Supreme, Rae SremmurdTyler, the Creator and, again SO many more. What a time to be... well, you know.

We could go on and on, or we could direct you to our Ultimate 2015 Hip Hop Playlist, streaming below and available for subscription here. Cheers to the year we unlocked the swag, fucked up some commas, cooked pies with our baby, went wayyy-ayy up, ran through the 6 with our woes, spent all day at the mall and actually listened to a whole Run the Jewels album with cat sounds instead of beats.

All selections were made from 2015 releases (sorry, The Pinkprint and 2014 Forest Hills Drive) available on Spotify (sorry, Datpiff mixtape gems, Soundcloud bangers, and the Lil Wayne album that's apparently never going to exist anywhere but Tidal) with contributions from Esteban Serrano, Juan Cadavid, Mark Sundstrom and Jason Lipshutz.
