Coldplay has announced seven U.S. stadium shows for the summer of 2016, in support of new album A Head Full Of Dreams. The trek will kick off on July 16 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
The tour marks the first live run for Coldplay since the Mylo Xyloto tour four years ago. The U.K. band did not tour behind 2014's Ghost Stories.
“A Head Full Of Dreams was written as a record to be performed live," frontman Chris Martin says in a press release. "We are beyond excited to play these shows across the U.S.”
Next week is a big one for Coldplay fans: The band will perform at the Pepsi Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show, headlining a performance that will also include Beyonce. And Martin will join James Corden for the next episode of Carpool Karaoke during the week of Feb. 1.
