Yesterday, in the wee hours of Monday morning, David Bowie passed. It came as a shock to the entire world: Few people knew he was battling cancer, even fewer knew of the severity of his illness. Apparently it was an 18-month battle. Before that, though, a tribute concert in honor of the guy was scheduled for March 31 at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Since his death, the gig has completely sold out--even the $1000+ seats.

The RootsCyndi Lauper, Perry Farrell, the Mountain Goats, Jakob Dylan and more will perform.
