Michael Phillips, a Georgia man who worked as Future's body guard several years ago, has been murdered in Jonesboro. The 27-year-old was shot in his home on Monday (Jan. 25).
"Some of the neighbors heard some arguing and some gunshots," Clayton County Police Department Lieutenant Frank Thomas told Fox 5 Atlanta (via Pitchfork). "We are still interviewing them and trying to piece together what happened."
Future tweeted following the news:

Future's team told XXL that Phillips left the rapper's employ in 2011. He was home with his wife at the time of his murder; they were expecting their first child together.
"Several people said Phillips played the piano at his mother's church in Riverdale, Hand of Faith Deliverance," Fox 5 reports.
