Remember those reports last fall of a potential Gilmore Girls revival? Now we have confirmation from the highest possible sources, as Netflix, Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore) and much of the primary cast has tweeted confirmations.
"I CAN NOW CONFIRM: it's time for me, and this jacket I stole in 2007, to return to work," the actress wrote.
"OY with the poodles, already!" Netflix tweeted, in a reference to a famous line from the series. "See you on set, Amy Sherman-Palladino, [Lauren Graham], [Alexis Bledel]."
"Luke's Diner open for business! #LukeDanes," added Scott Patterson (Luke Danes), linking a photo of his employee shirt from the Stars Hollow grub stop.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the revival will take the form of four 90-minute episodes and feature the bulk of the original cast, including Graham, Patterson, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn, and Keiko Agena. Creator-executive producer Amy Sherman-Palladino and co-executive producer Daniel Palladino will write and direct the as-yet-untitled project.
Gilmore Girls ended its original run in May 2007.
