Joseph Fiennes has been cast as Michael Jackson in Elizabeth, Michael & Marlon, an upcoming British TV comedy that will air on Sky Arts.

According to EW, the 2001-set film follows Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando as they embark on a road trip after being unable to fly out of New York following the 9/11 attacks. The trip was reported in a 2011 Vanity Fair article, although its details have been disputed.

Stockard Channing will be playing Taylor, and Brian Cox has been cast as Brando. A premiere date has not yet been set, but Sky Arts has confirmed that it will be a half-hour comedy.

Fiennes is best known for playing William Shakespeare in the Oscar-winning Shakespeare in Love. He also recently co-starred in American Horror Story: Asylum.
