Lady Gaga just earned her first major acting statuette, as the actress/pop star won the Golden Globe award for her role on FX's American Horror Story: Hotel.

"I feel like Cher in that John Patrick Shanley film Moonstruck right now," a tearful Gaga told the audience upon accepting the award. Gaga trumped actresses like Kirsten Dunst, Queen Latifah and Felicity Huffman to be named Best Actress in a Limited-Series or TV Movie.

Among others, Gaga thanked AHS creator Ryan Murphy and the "wonderful cast" of the show, oh whom she said, "You're all so talented, and because of you, I was able to shine." She also mentioned that she wanted to be an actress before she became a singer, but that "music worked out first."

Congrats, Lady Gaga! And check out the updated winners' list at the 2016 Golden Globes.
