DERBY, UNITED KINGDOM - AUGUST 14: Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead performs on stage during Bloodstock Open Air Festival at Catt

So we know Motörhead revolutionized heavy metal, the genre, but what about the other kind of heavy metal? Looks like the late great Lemmy is about to answer these questions for us.

There's an online petition going around to rename a recently found heavy metal (the science kind, not the genre) from Ununoctium 118 to Lemmium. We can all thank John Wright, a business support manager from York, for this beautiful idea.

This bad boy has already raked in 15,000 signatures. It reads:

"We believe it is fitting that the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) recommend that one of the four new discovered heavy metals in the periodic table is named Lemmium. An astrological object (a star) has been named Lemmy to meet the IUPAC naming recommendations."
