What better way to honor a gone-too-soon metal god than naming his favorite drink after him? Food & Beverage Magazine has officially renamed the Jack & Coke cocktail “The Lemmy,” in honor of deceased Motörhead frontman Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister.
Lemmy, of course, popularized the Jack & Coke at the Rainbow Bar and Grill in Los Angeles. "We are honored to represent the industry and bring the moniker The Lemmy to every bar in the world!" says Food & Beverage publisher Michael Politz (via Blabbermouth).
Last week, a petition surfaced to rename a heavy metal element after Lemmy. The world has made its wishes clear: More cool things need to be named "Lemmy."
Lemmy passed away on Dec. 28 after battling cancer. He was 70 years old. Toast the Motörhead king with the band’s 10 essential tracks.
