Linkin Park have returned to the studio this week to work on the follow-up to 2014's The Hunting Party.

The band posted a photo from a recording studio on Tuesday (Jan. 5) with the simple caption, "back to work this week."

The Hunting Party was released in June 2014, with the singles "Guilty All The Same" and "Until It's Gone" impacting rock radio. Frontman Chester Bennington recently toured as the leader of Stone Temple Pilots, although the singer and hard-rock group amicably split in November.

Blink-182's Mark Hoppus and No Doubt's Adrian Young recently joined Linkin Park for a special performance of "Numb"; check it out here.
