Madonna was among the many musical stars to publicly mourn the loss of David Bowie, and on Tuesday night (Jan. 12), Madge celebrated his life and music with a cover of his classic single, "Rebel Rebel."

The cover of the Diamond Dogs cut went down at Madonna's Rebel Heart tour, which came through Houston's Toyota Arena on Tuesday night. Madonna introduced "Rebel Rebel" as a song by "a man who inspired my career."

“He was one of the geniuses in the music industry, one of the greatest singer-songwriters of the 20th century and he changed my life when I went to see him in concert in Detroit," Madonna continued. "He showed me that it was okay to be different. And he’s the first 'rebel heart' that I laid eyes on.”
