Two weeks after Steve Harvey’s infamous Miss Universe mix-up, in which the host initially crowned Miss Colombia and then admitted that Miss Philippines won, the new Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach, is not into the idea of sharing the crown.

Wurtzbach appeared on Good Morning America on Monday (Jan. 4) to discuss the ordeal on her first official day on the job. The former Miss Philippines has heard that Miss Colombia (Ariadna Gutiérrez) thinks the two should be co-Miss Universes, and… yeah, not gonna happen.

“I think it would be a little bit difficult for two girls to share a crown,” said Wurtzbach, “but I have high hopes that this will give great opportunities for me and Miss Colombia and the rest of the contestants.”

Meanwhile, Miss Colombia recently told a local radio station that the mix-up was a “great injustice” and a “humiliating” ordeal. Wurtzbach says of Miss Colombia’s supporters, “I understand how they feel.” She added that she spoke to Miss Colombia last week, and that “she’ll have a lot of other opportunities.”

And how was the experience of the mistaken victory and ultimate win for Wurtzbach? “It was very exciting,” she says. “Of course, I wanted to win… In the Philippines, it’s a big deal! It’s been 42 years since we last won, and everybody’s been anticipating to finally get the crown, and we finally did it.”
