Pee-wee's Big Adventure, the first film by Tim Burton, premiered in 1985, followed by a five-season run of Pee-wee's Playhouse, which wrapped in 1990. In 2009, Pee-wee started popping up here and there—Conan, Fallon, Leno, Comedy Bang! Bang! He also did a Broadway show in late 2010 and early 2011.

Netflix has a stacked 2016, with Fuller House premiering Feb. 26 and House of Cards coming back March 4, followed by the returns of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on April 15, Grace & Frankie on May 6 and Orange Is the New Black on June 17. Over the weekend, CCO Ted Sarandos said the streaming service will spend an incredible $6 billion on original content this year.
