Beck formed a one-off super-group with former Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic in Los Angeles during Clive Davis' pre-Grammy gala on Sunday, February 14, covering David Bowie's 1970 classic "The Man Who Sold the World." Occasional Nirvana touring member/current Foo Fighter Pat Smear joined on electric guitar, while Novoselic and Grohl formed the rhythm section, Pitchfork reports (via Beck Daily).

The fan-shot footage above features an edited version of the good-natured performance, which sonically recalls Nirvana's cover from 1994 live LP Unplugged in New York

The 58th annual GRAMMY Awards will feature a Bowie tribute from Lady Gaga, who took the commitment so seriously that she tattooed an image of the Thin White Duke above her ribcage.
