After a fiery performance alongside the great Bruno Mars and Beyoncé, Chris Martin, frontman of Coldplay, is on the cover of Rolling Stone. The rocker details his divorce to actress Gwyneth Paltrow (they're still friends); he's aware of the Coldplay jokes that surrounded yesterday's Super Bowl; and he's a big fan of Rocky IV.

All good stuff, but the piece really gets good when we learn about his professional relationship with Beyoncé. Apparently he wrote a song to present to Bey called "Hook Up." He wanted to collaborate and you'll never guess what happened next!

They didn't! B hit him back with "I really like you – but this is awful," which Martin refers to as being turned down in "the sweetest way possible."
