In January, Céline Dion lost her husband, René Angélil, to cancer at the age of 73. On Tuesday, Feb. 23, a 20-minute tribute performance was livestreamed for all to see. Fortunately, if you weren't night-owling it up, you can watch the video above.
The performance took place at Las Vegas' Caesar's Palace, where Dion is a frequent performer. She's experienced great loss in the last month; just two days after Angélil died, Dion's 59-year-old brother Daniel passed of cancer as well.
The tribute opened with a loving montage of Angélil's life and the couple's many years together, preceded by a written message from Dion:
"I understood that my career was in a way his masterpiece, his song, his symphony. The idea of leaving it unfinished would have hurt him terribly. I realized that if he ever left us, I would have to continue without him, for him."
In November, Dion performed Édith Piaf's "Hymne à l'amour" at the American Music Awards in memory of the victims killed in terrorist attacks 10 days prior.
