Kendrick Lamar is primed to dominate the GRAMMYs tonight in Los Angeles: The rapper is nominated for 11 separate awards, and could theoretically sweep them all if good fortune happens to align with his own personal desire.

Even if Lamar doesn't make GRAMMY history this evening, he's set to leave something of a lasting impression: The Compton-born MC is performing at the award show, and from a few photos that hit the web today, we have an idea of what Lamar's politically-tinged production will look like.

Several tweets sent from a fan account show Lamar rehearsing before a graphic of the African continent with "Compton" emblazoned in the middle. There are also images that speak to mass-incarceration and premature death.

The leaked photos have inspired strong reactions on Twitter:

At the 2014 GRAMMYs, Kendrick Lamar lost out to Macklemore for the Best Rap Album award. The event caused a little controversy and sparked dialogue about the issue of white-privilege in the entertainment industry.

The 2016 GRAMMYs will showcase performances by Adele, Little Big Town, The Weeknd,  Carrie Underwood and many other artists. Lady Gaga will perform a tribute to the recently deceased David Bowie. If you need a refresher, here's a complete list of tonight's nominees.

The show airs tonight at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
