Kesha has promised a thorough statement regarding legal proceedings with her former producer Dr. Luke, whom she alleges raped her, and told fans "I am beyond words in gratitude," after an outpouring of support surfaced for the pop-star online.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the singer told her 1.2 million followers:
"I am beyond words in gratitude. thank you is not enough but it is all I have. a million times over and forever thank you. the support I have received has left my face swollen from tears. I love you all so much. A statement too large for this format is coming...."
Last Friday (February 19), a New York City judge denied Kesha a preliminary injunction against Dr. Luke—real name Lukasz Gottwald—stemming from a 2014 lawsuit which alleges the pop-singer was emotionally and sexually abused by her former producer. Given the court's ruling, and under Kesha's current contract with Sony, the singer could still be forced to work with Dr. Luke against her will.
Stars from across the music industry have expressed condolences to Kesha. Taylor Swift has even donated $250,000 to the singer as "a show of support." Dr. Luke, along with his counsel, has denied all of Kesha's allegations. He issued his own take on the matter via Twitter on Monday (February 22), saying: "I didn't rape Kesha."
