Original Story: Remember when we said that Lady Gaga was going to have a huge 2016? On the same day that she was confirmed as a GRAMMY Awards performer, Gaga was announced as the performer of the National Anthem at Super Bowl 50 this Sunday (Feb. 7).
Gaga will take the stage prior to the game between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Later at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., Coldplay will perform at halftime along with Beyoncé.
After winning a Golden Globe for her American Horror Story: Hotel role last month, Gaga was nominated for an Oscar for “Till It Happens To You,” her original song from The Hunting Ground. The pop star will perform at the Academy Awards ceremony on Feb. 28.
One week after the Super Bowl, Gaga will perform a David Bowie tribute at the GRAMMY Awards on Feb. 15. Oh, and she’s working on the follow-up to 2013’s ARTPOP, due out sometime this year.
