Lady Gaga reached out to Kesha over Twitter to extend support in her struggle with producer Dr. Luke. Kesha has alleged that over their years together, Dr. Luke “sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally abused” her.

Earlier this week, many artists tweeted to Kesha with messages of love after her push for a preliminary injunction in the case was denied. Tonight, Gaga added herself to those ranks, just before her performance at the Academy Awards.

There is some extra weight to the timing of Gaga's message here. She will be performing "Til it Happens to You," which is nominated for Best Original Song after being featured in the documentary The Hunting Ground which examines sexual assault on college campuses. Vice President Joe Biden will be introducing Gaga; he's attending the ceremony in conjunction with the It's On Us campaign, dedicated to stopping sexual assault.

Gaga also had another tweet regarding tonight's Oscar ceremony, this one much more light-hearted in nature.

Gaga, just like the rest of us, is pulling for Leo tonight.
