The GRAMMYs are known as music's biggest night, but 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne did their own part to make Monday evening pretty essential for rap fans. Three months after we first heard about their joint project ColleGrove, we've got our first sample via a live performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
"Rolls Royce Weather Every Day" saw its debut aided by The Roots and the string duo Black Violin. 2 Chainz kicked things off ("Dropped some loose change on some clothes I can't pronounce"); Weezy—wearing...a duct tape raincoat?—jumped in at the 1:45 mark.
Tunechi and Tity Boi have been collaborating for years, with standouts like Juicy J's "Bandz a Make Her Dance," "I Do It" and "Rich as Fuck." 2 Chainz's last studio album was September 2013's B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time; he just dropped the surprise mini-mixtape Felt Like Cappin—which features a collab between the ColleGrove bros—in January. Wayne's last record was July 2015's Free Weezy Album. Mr. Carter is currently out on The Dedication Tour with Rae Sremmurd until March 6.
