Thank you, Based Mannie! On the new song “Hate,” half the Hot Boys (Lil Wayne and Juvenile) link with all the Big Tymers (Birdman, Mannie Fresh) for a summertime-ready super-banger—one that feels especially significant as Weezy and Baby only just made up after more than a year of genuinely vicious beef. Juvenile’s hook opens with “They say, ‘Fuck you n—a, hate you n—a, hope you die / Hope you catch a stroke and nobody know why’”

Mannie Fresh actually dropped a statement about “Hate," as well:

"I've put a lot of effort into making this track happen. I’ve always been the liaison between these guys, they took my word and put their trust in me in bringing everyone together for this hot track."

The Hot Boys (minus the imprisoned B.G.) reunited in August 2015 at Lil Wayne’s first Lil WeezyAna Festival in New Orleans. In January 2016, Birdman and Wayne appeared onstage together and the Cash Money Records co-CEO let everyone know, "Family never die. This my motherfuckin' son and I'mma die for him, I'mma live for him, and I'll motherfuckin' kill for him, ya heard me?”

Days later it was reported that while father and pseudo-son have nixed the estrangement, Wayne’s $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money is still very much alive.

For some more recent Weezy, check him out on Yo Gotti’s must-hear Art of Hustle track “Bible,” and see him and 2 Chainz debut the first track from their joint album ColleGrove.
