One Direction scored a win at the BRIT Awards 2016 on Wednesday night (Feb. 24) with a win in the Best British Video category, for “Drag Me Down.” In the winners’ room at the O2 Arena following the victory, 1D’s Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne thanked their fans for their support and the BRITs for their generosity.

“We just found out that this is number six that we’ve won over the time we’ve been doing this, which is just amazing,” Payne told the press. “This was the first awards show that we did when we started out as a band, and being in your home country and winning an award is the best thing in the world, really. We’ve watched them as kids.”

“We decided late that we were going to come here, a couple weeks ago,” Tomlinson added, “and we didn’t really anticipate that we were going to win the award, so it’s another testament to our fans, really.”
