Earlier this week, we posted a roundup of metal musicians reacting to Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo's recent controversial statements. For those not in the know: Anselmo got in a lot of trouble recently after ending a set with a Nazi salute and a "white power" shout. He's since apologized, saying it was a poor joke, but people are not happy. 

We can add Dutch festival FortaRock to that list. Following his comments, the fest in the Netherlands has cut the metal musician from performing.

The organizers told the NME:

“After the recent outbursts by singer Phil Anselmo during the Dimebash event in the U.S., his band Down is no longer welcome at FortaRock. There has been close consultation between all parties recent days, since we wanted to make a well informed decision. On that basis, the decision is made to cancel the act. We want to make clear that there is no room for racism or fascism on FortaRock.”
