Vanessa Hudgens May Be in Trouble for Defacing a Rock in a National Forest
Vanessa Hudgens and her bae Austin Butler got a little nature-friendly over the weekend, but it might end up costing them a pretty penny.
On Instagram on Sunday, Hudgens shared a since-deleted photo of a rock carved with a heart inscribed with their first names. Unfortunately they were in Arizona's Coconino National Forest, where damaging natural features is punishable by a $5,000 maximum fine and up to six months in jail. (Seriously.)
Coconino spokesman Brady Smith tells the Associated Press that authorities are investigating the incident, despite acknowledging that he is unsure if signs explain the law. "People make mistakes whether knowingly or unknowingly," Smith says.
