As promisedAdam Lambert has delivered a new single less than a year after the release of his The Original High album. "Welcome To The Show" features Laleh and is designed to enthrall arenas with its heavy but driving chorus.

Before Lambert tries it out on tour, "Welcome To The Show" will be debuted live on American Idol on Thursday night (Mar. 17), when the pop singer returns for the show's final season. Lambert, of course, was the Idol runner-up in 2009.

“I wanted to surprise my fans with a new, uplifting anthem for the spring,” Lambert says in a press statement earlier this week. “I asked Max Martin for help and he paired me up with two great writers and producers; Ali Payami, who worked with me on 'Ghost Town,' and Swedish star Laleh who is also a featured vocalist on the track. I feel this song will give people strength to be exactly who they are."

The Original High was released last June. Thanks in part to his stint touring with Queen, Lambert was the top-earning American Idol alum in 2015.
