In the wake of the Brussels terror attacks that occurred on Tuesday morning (Mar. 22), Warner Bros. has decided to continue plans for the London premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice—which is also scheduled for today—while canceling the red carpet.

The film studio shared this statement:

"Our hearts go out to the victims of recent terrorist attacks, their families and the communities impacted around the world. Rather than yield to terror, we’ve decided to join the film’s fans and move forward with the London premiere of Batman v. Superman this evening."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, moviegoers still flocked to the city's Leicester Square despite the increased security alert throughout Europe (a lot of theaters in Brussels have been closed). A guard told the website that the film premiere will be "bigger than Star Wars."
