After truly hitting their stride as a band last year, GOT7 is making sure their latest release helps them soar to greater heights with a new single "Fly" and EP of the same name.

The track starts with glitchy-slighty-sexy R&B sound on the verses before moving into smooth-yet-spastic electronic sound on the chorus. At first, the disparate sounds are a bit jarring, but it's impressive how the septet can pull it off for one the most fascinatingly complex K-pop singles of 2016 so far.

The accompanying music video is one-part GOT7 busting out their signature, impressive choreography in a desert, one-part candid home video footage, and the other part CGI with the boys flying through the sky. A little something for everyone, right?

This latest release is important for GOT7's popularity in America. The group's Fly EP is currently in the Top 10 of U.S. iTunes overall Top Albums chart—where only the likes of BIGBANGGirls' GenerationEXO2NE1 and BTS have landed—and will promote the new material during their upcoming Fly in U.S.A. Tour. While there's clearly a lot hype around this release, an overall successful era and comeback for the boys will be imperative to capitalize on their potential as one of America's top boy bands. In this post-One Direction era, anything's possible.
